Graettinger Couple Wed In Ringsted Ceremony
Marietta Zitterich and Merlin Norris, both of Graettinger, were married in a Sunday 7:30 pm double ring ceremony at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Rev. Arthur Sorensen officiated. altar by Mrs. Margaret Jensvold. Attendants wore blue and white. reception for about 250 guests followed. The couple planned to live in Decorah after Sept. 1 while Merlin attends Luther College.

The Palo Alto county VEW Teeners under 15 basebal team from the county won the regional contest at Dubuque last Saturday. The Elgin IM team had two Grachtinger players, Tody Murray and Chesty Masters, form the winning battery for the Pro Alto club in the Illinois contest. The Palo Alto team now advances to the national VFW tournament next week in Hershey Pennsylvania.
