12 Mile 4H Club Achievement Show at Wallingford Hall
The 12 Mile Lake Girls 4H Club met at 10 39 am Monday August 5 at the Wallingford Legion Hall. Joyce Anderson opened the meeting with pledges, committees were named for fair booths and the afternoon featured an achievement show with sewing displays and a dress review. Awards went to Lynn Herum Sherry Logan Joyce Anderson Rochelle Borchers with alternates. trip reports were given by Camille attendees. lunch served by Mrs Herum and Mr Herum. many visitors attended. Walnut Township Farm Bureau Homemakers Picnic highlights include roll call canning tips county picnic July 31 and workshop October 4 officer elections with Ed Merk chaired and Mrs Burg pub chm. meeting adjourned with Farm Bureau song and snacks.

Kibbie to Attend National Legislative Conference Hawaii
Palo Alto county State Representative Jacki Kibbie of Emmetsburg will join two other Iowa lawmakers on the state legislative interim committee to attend the 16th annual National Legislative Conference in Honolulu Hawaii in August 1923. Rep Chester Hogven of Waterloo and Rep Wm Sehoric of Mills county also will attend. Invitations are limited to interim committee members with participants from all 50 states and abroad.
