Relatives in Pierre South Dakota mourn the death of Fred W Meredith born January 3 1903 in Carrollton Minnesota at 27 last January. The burial followed a Catholic service conducted by Father Kelly at the northwest cemetery with pallbearers Raymond Tindall Bernard Doerning Ben Beecher Joe Brailey Albert Lukes and Robert Ayers. He was survived by his brother John and sisters Mrs Phillip Ishee Mrs Joe Winkler and Mrs Sam Ramsey all of Pierre area who had gathered for the rites.

Viking Car Wreck Near Emmetsburg on Union Grace
A Viking car wreck occurred Monday evening west of Emmetsburg on Union Grace Road. The vehicle struck a pocket in the road, the driver lost control, and the car flipped end over end after hitting a bank. One man was thrown from the car and rescued after cutting through wreckage. he suffered minor cuts and bruises. The other occupant escaped with non serious injuries. The car, an all used body with all steel construction, ended with the four wheels in the air and the body slightly boled. Attended a sister’s wedding in Stoughton, Wisconsin, Friday. Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Johnson traveled to attend Miss Kathryn Johnson’s wedding to Mr. Palmer Anderson. The newlyweds left for their honeymoon and planned a visit before returning to Stoughton to make their future home.

Mrs DeWall Dies at Estherville Hospital
Mrs C DeWall of Twelve Mile Lake township died at Estherville hospital Sunday after a short illness. Funeral held Wednesday at German Lutheran church in Titerville Rev Otis Lang presiding. Large turnout of friends attended. Pallbearers were Fred and Carl Spies of Graettinger August Hoehmer Claus Kelting and Mr Ehlers and Mr Ahrens of Estherville. Amanda Matthew born in Derlin Germany December 1 187A came to the United States, married Claus DeWall January 26 1899, lived in Emmet County on a farm in Twelve Mile Lake township. Eight children survive Anna Baedke of Terville and William Henry Edward Kanon Albert Caroline Julesie. Husband died January 11 1918. She was devoted mother and neighbor, and her memory will guide her children. The Times extends sympathy to the family.

Mrs Thomas Conway and daughter with Agnes Sullivan and Angeline Murphy were in a serious auto crash Saturday near the A J Jensen corner north of Graettinger when a steering bolt broke. Conway was thrown into the windshield with facial cuts and a leg wound while the women in the front seat suffered bruises. The car was a total wreck against a cement culvert.
