Storm over Queen removal from Iowa Great Lakes
A protest roils the Iowa Great Lakes region after the veteran excursion boat Queen is moved from West Okoboji to Altoona for a new development. Residents, led by the Lakes Chamber of Commerce, offered $36,000 to repurchase the vessel, which dates to 1884 and has long served as a lake transportation icon.
