Cow Sets World Record for Milk and Butter Yield
A Guernsey cow named Marona s at Cassatt farm Berwin Pa owned by FE B Cassatt produced in 1918 a total of 19639 quarts of milk and 1059659 pounds of butter. The previous record was a Holstein cow yield of 1068 pounds of butter set by F F Field of Brocktor Mass in 1911.

Death of Harry Berdin in Walnut Township
The remains of Harry Berdin died at Glennwood on April 19 and were brought home by his father. Funeral services were held at the Danish Lutheran church in Walnut Township, with burial in the church cemetery. He leaves parents Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Berdin, five sisters Florence Agnes Anna Clarisa Ida, and one brother Alfred. Born February 22, 1892 near Ayrshire, he lived much of his life in Lost Island township. He suffered a brain disease from childhood and spent the last years in Glennwood. illness lasted about a week after a lagrippe and influenza. The family has the condolences of many friends.

Bad Man Arrested on Passenger Train
Wednesday last week Jim Knowland, once a Goldfield resident later in Canada, was seized on a M. and St. L. passenger train at Humboldt by Humboldt county sheriff and marshal while riding with his wife and baby. A fellow traveler alerted authorities just before the train arrived, and officers in plain clothes moved in, cuffed him, and took him to the county jail for questioning about recent months of suspected activity.

Miss Linda Spies to be Married
The Marine Hr. paper reports the approaching wedding of Miss Linda Spies niece of J A Spies and Mrs P Fahne stock.
