Will Construct New Bridge Across Jack Creek

Des Moines Bridge Company material and equipment arrived in Graettinger this week for a new steel bridge. A steel span will be erected across Jack Creek four miles east of town replacing the old wooden bridge. The creek was widened and deepened recently by a dredge boat.

Young couple wed in Twin Cities April 12

A Graettinger couple, Cornelius J. Skow and Fossie Belle Zenor, were married in St Paul on Wednesday at noon and will honeymoon in the Newin Cities before returning to Graettinger to settle here. The bride, sister of Mrs Wm Donaghy, has worked as a saleslady in Wildey’s store and will make the community her home. The groom co-owns Windsor hotel with Mayor F B Schurmann and is regarded as a man of ability. The Times extends best wishes for health and prosperity.

Jess has succeeded Louie Merklin as marshal of Grachtin ger and takes full authority to handle all duties and act as peace officer if needed. Merklin resigned after a two months trial, citing long hours and better opportunities elsewhere.
