Backed Concert at the Hawkeye Friday Evening

Friday evening, April 4, the Nate of the Skered Concert will be held at the Hawkeye theatre in Gruettin ger under the Young Peoples Luther league. Waldorf College enly is on a two weeks tour of southern Min and northern Town and Graet is a point. Gruullingar residents are assured of a splendid program. Admission is 50 cents for adults and 20 cents for children under 14. Concert begins promptly at eight o'clock.

Ruthven Post No. 33 of the American Legion will present a blackface minstrel show at the Ruthven opera house on Friday April 14. The about fifteen member cast includes the Oversay Quartet and features quartets duets solos and chorus singing along with dialogue and short speeches. The group is known for high production quality and is expected to entertain in grand style.

Obituary for Miss Augusta Lippert

Mina Augusta Elizabeth Lippert died April 2 after a three week illness of typhoid fever and inflammatory rheumatism at her parents home northwest of Oraettinger. Funeral at Estherville German Lutheran church, burial at Oak Hill beside her brother. Born December 5 1896 in Grepttinger, she lived on a Gruettinger farm, later moved to Estherville then back to the farm. A graduate of Ratherville High School, she trained as a nurse in Des Moines and St. Louis, worked at Coleman Hospital in Estherville then Sioux City, cared for her ill brother, beloved daughter and sister. Survived by parents and three sisters Amelia of Sioux City, Kathryn home, Pantine stenographer at Gilmore City. The Times extends sympathy.
