A Friday fire on the second floor of the J P Wagner residence, occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Rosenberg, caused substantial damage. Wagner had building insurance, but the Rosenbergs lost all personal apparel with no coverage. Origin of the blaze is unknown. A second alarm Friday evening was sparked by a stove or coffee shop explosion at the Sapp Restaurant, quickly put out.
