The Graettinger junior class play The Touch down drew a crowded house last Friday. Graettinger High School coach Beryl Wall died after illness diagnosed as appendicitis. Circuit updates note N S and LeRoy Bartleman opening a barber shop in the Duhn building formerly cafe space. City council re elected J A Fleming as marshal and street commissioner. Mr and Mrs A C Christiansen were surprised by friends Sunday.

Graettinger School Elects C W Stevenson Superintendent

C W Stevenson has been elected superintendent of the Graettinger schools for the coming two years. He has served two years in this capacity in Graettinger. Ll N Warsen of Graettinger area died Friday at Emmetsburg hospital. Joe Oakes Jr had tonsils removed at Coleman hospital Estherville last week. Mr and Mrs Jake Nyborg attended the silver wedding anniversary at the home of Mr and Mrs A C Christiansen. A daughter was born to Mr and Mrs Charles Henningsen Sunday April 1st. N B Bartleman bought a new Star Six car. C E Taylor of Emmetsburg was a Graettinger caller yesterday. Wo Herke and family of Clermont were recent guests. A car load of horses sold at Swea City for 17 to 850 per head. Attempt to sell land at Ringsted failed. Mr and Mrs C M Nolan and Bobbie and Anna Anastasia Florence visited Goodell for the weekend. J L Grady was a business caller at Fort Dodge. Linda Spies arrived from Mt Vernon to spend Easter with her parents. she studies at Coswell College. Friends of Mrs A G Herke report her illness.
