Mrs. D B McCarty and Mrs Sullivan and son Tom were in at Holy Family hospital Estherville Monday evening. The Misses Maxine and Marlys Hassel of Estherville with their aunt Mrs Joe Hassel of Ottawa Illinois were visiting Saturday afternoon. The American Weekly magazine features a dramatic new series about a killer who shot Jesse James. Mr and Mrs Lewis Sevatson of Wallingford hosted dinner for locals including Gerhard Peterson Gary Connie of Betherville and others from Graettinger and West Bend. Richard Koch of West Bend, a senior, won first in a local music contest with an excellent bass solo. Times extends congratulations.

Missionary Society Social Event Report

Mrs. M. J. Tindall entertained Catholic Missionary society members Monday afternoon with good attendance and substantial work. Lunch was served at the close. St. Paul Ladies Aid plans a meeting at church parlors on Wednesday April 14 at 2 30 p m hosted by Mrs Hamlin Sandvig and others.

WSCS Meeting At Methodist Church Teaches Community Invite

The WSCS will meet Thursday at 2:30 PM in the Methodist church with Marvis Lundgren as worship leader and Bess Mamillion as program leader. Lost Island Women’s Club to Meet May 7 at Thompson Home

Rural Women’s Day at Emmetsburg drew ten club members with Martha Duncan as speaker entertaining the group with wit and philosophy. The program featured a plant and seed exchange. Entertainment committee included Mrs Wi DeWall and Mrs Don Root. publicity by Mrs Albert Norris.
