William F. Cummins dies at 72 in Indiana hometown obituary

William Francis Cummins born December 29, 1844 in Brown County Ohio died September 15, 1907 at his home in Harlan Allen County Indiana aged 72 years 9 months 16 days. He married Martha Ruppert October 24 1868 who died September 29 1905. Survived by wife Alice Atwood and four children plus eleven grandchildren and siblings. Funeral at Harlan M E church with Rev C S Rachin and others, burial in Harlan cemetery.

The Allen County Milk Producers Union met at Adams Center school house Wednesday evening to discuss high costs and low milk prices. Farmers from Allen and neighboring counties agreed on future steps to bolster profits while striving to keep prices down.

Norwegian Ships Sunk by German Submarine Losses Reported

The Norwegian foreign office says the steamship Askelad of 2838 tons was sunk by a German submarine. One boat with 11 men lost, captain and ten saved. The Rein of 1178 tons was also sunk off Cape St Vincent, ten men lost, captain and nine crew saved.
