The Grabill Woman’s Christian Temperance Union met January 3 at 2:30 at Mrs. Hellopeter’s home to review the year’s gains in temperance and report on war work. Talks covered prohibition progress, medical and scientific advances, Red Cross efforts, ambulance purchase, and Liberty Bonds.

Town and School Funds Received by Grabill Boards

Town and school funds apportioned to Grabill totaling 760.27 were received by the Grabill Town and School Boards. H. H. Sunday School elects officers and gifts to heirs

In a Sunday School meeting near Grabill Mrs Mary o Swarts, late of Grab, bequeathed farm land of forty acres to her son Albert and another share to her son William. Two daughters Mrs Minnie Gerig and Mrs Emma Schlatter of near Harlan receive $2000 each. Executors named are Albert Schwartz and Simon Gerig. Other notes mention Esra Reuben and Anna Roth visiting Fort Wayne relatives and Christian Gerig leaving for three months at Indianapolis Medi font College.

Grand Wedding in Local Missionary Church

The ceremony uniting Earle Tomlinson of Cleveland Ohio and Alberta Sprunger of this community took place in the Missionary Church with Rev C W Dyer officiating. Attendants included Lillian Tomlinson, Esther Bertsche, and Lance Husted. A reception followed at S Roberts home with over forty guests and a later departure for Cleveland, Ohio.
