Arrests Follow Elkhart Clothier Assault Case
Samuel Crowl of Elkhart, a clothing merchant, faces two warrants for assault and battery on M A Goldberg of Goshen shirt factory and for profane remarks at the Big Four depot. The dispute began in Crowl's store and escalated after Goldberg boarded the 4 50 port bound train. Crowl and his wife then confronted Goldberg at the depot. authorities filed affidavits this morning, with no court decision yet. William Paul, aged about 75, died at his daughter’s home Mrs N Reinhart after a life in Germany New York Canada and Elkhart since 1859 leaving six children and a son in Los Angeles where a grandchild is ill with typhoid fever.
