Two Year Old Dies in Gypsy Camp on St. Joe River Bank
Rosa Stephenson two year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Johny Stephenson members of a Brazilian gypsy group traveling in eight automobiles died Saturday at 7 pm at a camp five miles east of Elkhart on the St Joseph river bank. Funeral rites were held at the camp and the body was taken to Elkhart for burial in the Catholic cemetery. Sheriff Sanford was called to order the nomads away but allowed the camp to stay after learning the child was in danger.
