Horse Flees Locomotive Sighting in Clinton Township
A bay horse belonging to E. J. Miller of Clinton Township bolted after a Lake Shore locomotive at East Lincoln Avenue. Driven by N. L. Yoder and John L. Miller visiting from Illinois, the carriage overturned near Rev. B. Freyberger’s home on Washington Street. The horse was scratched, carriage shafts demolished, and jars of jelly butter upset. Both riders escaped serious injury.
