Lucy A. Judy administratrix of Noah A. Judy sues Lake Shore and Michigan Southern Railroad for $10,000 over the December 18 1901 Mishawaka crash that killed Juday and Dr Bowman. A Bowman estate suit for $10,000 is pending. both claims considered strong.

Ex-Commissioner Stauffer Dies at Nappanee Home
Henry Stauffer a former county commissioner from the southern part of the county dies at his Nappanee residence at about nine last evening after a brief illness. He was about 76 and survived by three children Mrs. E A Dausman Goshen Mrs Adam Guiss Nappanee and Dr E V Stauffer now in the west.

Survived by husband and three children and her parents Mr and Mrs George Hartman. Funeral held at Leesburg last Friday. Brakes George Brakes, about 64, died at county infirmary from old age. Survives include son L H Brakes and a daughter in Millersburg. remains to be shipped there.

Della Wright Dies After Gasoline Fire Incident
Della Wright twenty year old daughter of Elder John Wright of North Manchester was burned while cleaning ribbons with gasoline. The fluid on her hands caught fire and she ran outside, rolled in wet grass, and extinguished the blaze. She died hours later from injuries.

Train strikes milk wagon injures worker in Elkhart
A milk wagon driven by J D Garman was hit by an Elk Hart and Western train in Elkhart shortly after noon yesterday. Both horses were killed. one died instantly and the other later. Daniel Keck, employed at Goshen Manufacturing Co, suffered a broken leg. His right hand was severely injured this afternoon operating a planing machine. Drs Ash and Ash dressed the wounds.

Burglars Foiled At Local Medical Dispensary Office
Burglars attempted to break into the Miles Medical Dispensary office in Elkhart last night but fled when frightened away. A freight engine 820 passed Goshen en route from Wabash to Benton Harbor, Mich, taking four hours on the trip. Earl Essig's remains arrived by interurban baggage from South Bend and were taken to St John Lutheran church for funeral services. Chicago Fair adds five new glass show cases to their store.
