Dolan Sues for 50000 in LaPorte Injury Case
Frank E. Osborn, attorney for Charles Dolan of Elkhart, filed a 50000 damage suit against the S. M. & M. Co. The case is claimed to be the largest personal injury suit in LaPorte county history. Dolan lost a leg in the incident and spent nine months in the hospital.

Lola Smith 13 daughter of Mr and Mrs Len Smith of North Fifth street was bitten on the arm when a large greyhound puppy attacked children at the Fifth and Clinton streets intersection. Barn Fire Wrecks Jacob Marker Farm Near Cloudville
A large bank barn one mile west of Cloudville burned on Wednesday consuming twenty tons of hay five hundred bushels of corn four hundred bushels of oats wagon and machinery. Loss estimated around three thousand dollars with eight hundred dollars of insurance on the barn and some on the contents. Authorities suspect a child who had set a straw stack nearby may have started the fire.

A deed filed in LaGrange County records transfers 117 acres in Springfield township known as Grasslake from Martin Matthews of Chicago to Grove E Norton of Chicago. Norton previously held the land via his uncle Matthews and the deed returns it to Norton at an assessed value of about 120 per acre. Grass lake marl deposits could support a cement plant. Norton plans a plant but success is unclear.
