Highwaymen Rob West of Goshen Take 50 From Driver
Bert Dewey, son of N W Dewey, was held up by two masked highwaymen between 1 and 2 am yesterday while returning from the city toward his home near the Leer farm. They stopped the horse, searched his clothes and took 50 dollars, then fled after leveling revolvers at him. Dewey did not report the incident to officers, who had previous scares near the park road and the Dewey farm, with a past similar holdup by Bart Nymerer residents nearby.
