In Pittsfield Massachusetts a tallyho carrying President Roosevelt and party from Pittsfield to Lenox collided with an electric car. Secret Service Agent Craig and the motorman were killed. Driver Bratta suffered a fractured skull. Roosevelt escaped with bruises and a scratched face. Both horses died and the scene drew a large crowd as officials cleared wreckage. The incident may disrupt the planned itinerary.
