The Goshen High School 126th commencement staged 34 graduates at the Irwin opera house with 16 essays and an oratorical contest. Eli Goldstein won 100 in gold as first prize and Beulah Lehman earned 25 as second. both celebrated as the largest class in city history.

Manager denies ten cent fare rise for street cars
General Manager J. McM. Smith says there is not the shadow of truth to the rumor of a ten cent fare increase between South Bend and Mishawaka. He states no such discussion occurred and he cannot account for the report.

Memorial Day Observed in Goshen With Oration by L. L. Burris
A large crowd attended Memorial Day ceremonies in Goshen with business closings and a full program. Lloyd L. Burris delivered the oration at Oak Ridge Cemetery while the 150 veteran graves were decorated and a city band provided music. The program began at 1:30 p.m. with a parade from Howell Post, concluding with benediction by Rev. J. W. Paschall.

Deadlock at Forty-Second Judicial District Convention
The Democratic convention for the Forty-second judicial district covering Marshall and Fulton counties failed to nominate a judge after a full day of balloting. Marshall split 34 34 between Kellison and Martindale while Fulton gave 23 to Bernetha. With fifty ballots cast and no break in deadlock, the convention adjourned sine die, requiring new delegate elections and another convention.
