The Goshen High School 39th commencement program is issued with ceremonies planned at Jefferson Theatre and Ac home theatre. Rev B H Semians to give the sermon May 30 at 7 20 pm. June 4 features class exercises and diplomas with Coffman and Coffman addressing. The event includes a play AN-Of-A-Sudden and a senior chorus.

Joseph Priser died at his West Goshen home following a week long illness from paralysis. Born in Montgomery Ohio, he moved to this county as an infant and lived with the Kinsey family. Survived by his wife Lydia and son Th. Priser, his daughter Mrs Samuel Hloover and her husband were formerly burned to death on their farm five years ago. Funeral at Church of the Brethren West Goshen Monday at 10:30 am with Rev. Calvin A Huber and others officiating. interment in West Goshen cemetery.
Memorial Day services will be held in Goshen next Monday marking the annual observance. The custom was inaugurated in this locality in 1870, reflecting a long-standing tradition and community remembrance.

Miss Ruby Lyons daughter of Mr and Mrs Harey Th Lyons of Chicago formerly Goshen has won another diamond medal in a Chicago musical contest. The high soprano singer draws extraordinary attention for about 15 months and will perform June 15 at a grand opera program in the Auditorium in Chicago. She is about 20 years old and well remembered in Goshen.
Janitors and laborers in federal buildings nationwide face enforced unpaid vacations due to insufficient wage funding from the last Congressional appropriation. Regular annual 15 day paid vacations remain in effect.
Jennie Hutchison of North Side receives 250 from New York Central as full settlement after the death of her husband, train crossing watchman, struck by a train on December 2, 1914 at Indiana Avenue. The company also covered 50 toward burial costs, making total expenditures about 300 for the Hutchison death.

Races scheduled for Ligonier today have been postponed until the middle of June. Several Goshen horses are entered.
The Elkhart High School basketball team is set to face Goshen in the city on January 28, 1916. Goshen’s games are scheduled at FNikhach on February 18 and March 17, 1916, completing the cited winter slate.

Christian B. Scott, believed to have shot his wife Mary Scott Thursday morning and then wounded himself, is dying at Epworth hospital. At 3 pm officials said she could live only a short time. Scott made no statement as he lay unconscious, and police regard the case as a murder followed by suicide attempt. John Hosey of Kendallyitle is a son of Mrs. Scott.

In Shelburne Indiana on May 29 Curry township Sullivan county voted dry by 241 a reversal from two years ago when it went wet by 17. Thirteen saloons will close as a result of the decision.
Washington May 29 Special The department of agriculture issued an official warning that 17 year locusts are due in Indiana in June this year.
Symptomatic anthrax, a fatal cattle disease, has appeared at John Good's farm three and a half miles northwest of Syracuse. Three calves died since Wednesday night. Contagious and infectious, it can spread between farms and to people via meat. Dr. Bolser and Dr. Armour are guiding response, carcasses burned, serum supply restricted, and remaining cattle to be vaccinated to contain spread. The disease is rare in this country but common in Europe.
Report alleges some Indianapolis hotels charge high rates to guests arriving for the big event. Affected visitors, in town since yesterday, struggle with funds as they seek affordable stays and access.

Spillman and Zimmertey will Tuesday assume possession of the William Arthur leather store. The new owners recently moved from Indianapolis to the area. Mr. Arthur plans to move his family to Canton, Ohio, in the fall and will travel.
Ax-County Superintendent Piebe Swart, believed dying yesterday, rallied later in the day and remains alive though recovery seems unlikely. Authorities had feared the worst as Swart faced severe illness, with medical staff expressing guarded optimism about stabilization.
After years without a saloon Paulding Ohio voted to allow alcohol sales. The town previously declared wet became a failure of the dry regime as the community approved a move to permit saloons and liquor sales locally.
Mrs. Clarence Martin was bound and gagged by robbers who entered her Sturgis residence. She is reported to be frightened but uninjured as police investigate the break in.

Miss Ruth W Landis daughter of Mrs Amos Limedis and Glen S Umble married at the Hartzier residence on South Eighth street by Rev Hartzier of Gea shen College. They honeymoon in Akron Cleveland and Niagara Falls and will reside in West Liberty where Umble farms. Both graduates of Grashen College. A supper at the home of Mrs Will Airdner complemented Miss Mary Crice who departs for Chicago to train as a nurse.
