Noble Plant Sold to Commercial Exchange in Goshen
The Noble plant is sold to the Commercial Exchange and a Goshen Rubber Company is to operate there by August 1, 1900 with 30 initial workers and a payroll of 170 to 1510 dollars monthly. Promoters include James M. Dennis and Joseph A H Shoemaker of Cambridge City and others from Marion Montpelier Connersville and Goshen. The deal includes land along Cottage avenue to the Big Four tracks and machinery, with conditions for deed transfer and a five year operation period. Public subscriptions raised 5590 dollars to purchase the factory and grounds.

Democratic delegates chosen for state and congressional conventions
A large harmonious county democracy meeting at the court house selected delegates and alternates for the Indiana state convention in Indianapolis on June 6 and the Plymouth congressional convention on July 17. John Sieboch Returns Polarized by Mental Strain in Chicago
John Sieboch, after mysteriously vanishing from Victor Myers in Goshen, arrived in Chicago at 7:30 pm by interurban from South Bend. He claims intent to end his life, then reconsidered. He appeared deranged to Marshal Self, and plans to stay in Goshen for recovery before moving to Wabena, Wisconsin, for work with Indiana Lumber. Local police linked him to a Chicago suicide reported at State and Eighty First streets.

Over 300 spectators watched Shannon and Conrad clash at the Commercial Club in Elkhart. In a rapid clinch round the referee halted the prize fight after injuries, Shannon awarded the win as Conrad suffered a broken nose and weakened from loss of blood. Goshen sent fans to the scene.
