Baxter Williams drove a new Overland automobile yesterday afternoon on Elk Hart River road near Henrys Cripe farm when it left the road at slnacup curve and plunged down a steep embankment. The car was badly damaged but occupants escaped injury.

Mrs Mary I Trier 61 a former Elkhart resident died in Sturgis Michigan at her sister Mrs Amanda Moore s home. She was born in Sturgis. Husband A F Tyler of Chicago. Daughters include Mrs Charles Bilger of Goshen area and a son George A Tyler of Elkhart. One sister survives.
W F Kincel of the Princess Pat division in France and later veterinary work has purchased a half interest in the shoeing department of the Alva Hamilton shop on West Lincoln avenue.
J B Foltz aged 91 formerly of Ligonier and a dealer in Walnut lumber died in Watsonville California. The body was cremated and the ashes sent to Ligonier. His wife had died in Ligonier many years ago.

John Ort aged 69 of Elkhart died at his farm home near Seilor Midh from complications after an illness that began in February. He was born in Elkhart County on December 2, 1849, and was the father of Frank B Ort and Vernon GC Ort.
