Death of Aged Lady Elizabeth Chamberlain
Mrs Elizabeth Chamberlain died suddenly this morning at her North Fifth street home at 3 o clock. She suffered rheumatism for eight years but remained active until late yesterday. Born Elizabeth M Lathrop in Oxford Ohio in January 1832 she married Smith Chamberlain in 1850 and moved here the same year. Survived by seven children fourteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren with a brother in Chicago and a sister in Los Angeles. Funeral will be held Friday afternoon at the house with interment at Oak Ridge cemetery.

Big Four Wreck Near Niles Leaves One Dead
A Monday Big Four wreck at Rosewarne crossing near Niles left one unidentified man dead and a second man, Charles Snyder of Terre Haute Indiana, gravely injured and可能 to die. Ada Holdorf a 25 year old South Bend bookkeeper was arrested in Elkhart after confessing to stealing 195.15 dollars from employer D. A. Westbury a plumber. She spent about 30 on dresses and a hat in Mishawaka and 12 by a hackman to Elkhart leaving 123.07 recovered. She claimed an impulse during the bank run and said she has been treated well by Westbury.

The body of William Forney a 28 year old blacksmith and Studebaker worker missing since April 18 was recovered in the Oliver mill race at South Bend. A new factory project in Goshen began this morning as Charles Lyons of Lyons & Son and A Z Freyberger of South Whitely formed the Springless Safety Snap company. Rev. 8 P Freyberger will be business manager with offices under the Lion store awaiting factory quarters. The plant aims to employ 15 workers initially with capacity for 40 000 gross yearly.
