Mrs. A Starr Best of Chicago spoke on drama while Miss Charity Due of Indianapolis addressed Indiana Centennial celebration remarks. Officers were reelected as attendees heard from speakers of prominence at the convention.
At 11 o clock this morning officers were re elected by acclamation Chairman Mrs William O Vallette of Goshen Vice Chairman Mrs A J Dillon of Rochester Secretary Treasurer Mrs Guy Stoddard of Michigan City The 1917 Thirteenth district convention will be held at Michigan City.
The first M church banquet decorates the convention venue as Mrs. James S. Drake hosts Mrs. Caroline R. Fairbanks of Fort Wayne leader of the Indiana Federation of Women's Clubs. Charity Dye and Miss Starr Best speak on Indiana history and drama league aims amid civic club activity listings.

Wayne Fawcett, who was struck on the head by a baseball last fall, lies dying at Bert Frye’s home in Sturgis. He has suffered intermittent convulsions since the accident and collapsed yesterday at his workplace, the Carbon Coated Paper Co. doctors say recovery is unlikely.
F W Lough of Castleton Indiana has been chosen as temporary chairman of the prohibitionist state convention to be held in Indianapolis on June 4 and 6. The meeting will establish platform and nominees for the movement.

Priscilla Clutter aged 91 died this morning at her daughter Mrs Virginia Kellys home 513 South Sixth street after several weeks illness of old age. Born in Morrow county Ohio she long resided in the city with husband the late John W Clutter who died about eleven years ago. Surviving are two daughters Miss Alice Clutter and Mrs Virginia Kelly one son Albert of Wabash six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
George W. Ellis, longtime Elkhart County School superintendent, is in a very serious condition after a paralysis stroke at Laporte where he was employed. He was brought to Goshen and carried into his home at 211 North Main street by four men. The ings show he is helpless, with the severe stroke affecting him deeply.

Samuel Wenger, a farmer near Wakarusa, drove 100 dozen eggs to Elikhar in a horse drawn wagon. A flash of lightning spooked the horses on Vistula street near Mrs. Eli H. Lee, throwing Wenger and injuring his left hip. The wagon wrecked at the Valley Traction Co. line. all eggs broke and one horse was hurt. Loss estimated in the hundreds of dollars.
