Severe electric shock strikes lineman on Harrison township line
While working on the line east of Cabin Hill in Harrison township John AL Wogeman manager and lineman of the Dunlaps telephone system received a severe shock. Two N Y C Brakemen Shot on Freight Near South Bend
Brakemen H C Ritter and F L Gingerich aboard an eastbound New York Central freight were shot by hoboes on a freight train near Ay tuibelends plotice wagon works in South Bend at 8:30 yesterday afternoon. One assailant fired as the hoboes climbed over the car. Ritter was shot in the left thigh and Gingerich in the right thigh, both taken to South Bend and Elkhart hospitals and reported to be recovering. Police and detectives searched the area with no clue to the perpetrators as neighbors reported seeing the men running westward.
