Tragic 13 Year Old Walter Hagan Killed in Florida Wreck
Walter Hagan thirteen son of Mrs. Mabel Johnson of Chicago perished in a railroad wreck near St. Petersburg Florida. His body was shipped to North Manchester for burial. The boy wandered to the baggage car to feed his dog as the train neared Largo, his mother Mrs. Johnson severely ill in St. Petersburg. The wreck also recalled the long-ago death of his father Will Hagan in a Big Four collision.

Death of Jacob W. Vogt in Dayton Ohio
Jacob W. Vogt died Monday at 11 in his Dayton residence 405 Oxford avenue after four months illness. He was a Belle Vue apartments office man, formerly a traveling salesman for Royal Remedy & Extract Co. Born November 15, 1889 in Perry county, he lived in Dayton since 1892 and leaves a widow and three sons and a daughter: Charles W. Vogt Chicago Ira H. Vogt Dayton Evan Z. Vogt Albuquerque and Mrs. David I. Prugh Dayton. He belonged to Trinity Reformed Church and had deep church ties with the Reformed denomination. The family is well remembered in Goshen where he ran a grocery 1883–1889. Charles W. Vogt is with Marshall Field & Co. Chicago Ira H. Vogt started The Democrat printing business. Funeral sermon by Rev. N B Mathes formerly of Goshen, assisted by Rev. A K Zartman formerly of Dayton. In Goshen the name was Foucht.
