Daskam Confined In County Jail Asylum Pending Transfer
Mise Rose Daskam known as the Hikhart remains locked in a county jail cell most of the time refuses to stay in and attempts to climb corridor windows endangering herself. A lady attendant aided by Turnkey Jack Griffith kept her hair in order while papers from Longcliff arrive for transfer to the asylum. Ben I. Newman died at his South Bend home at 6 45 am after a long illness described as locomotor ataxia. He had been unconscious recently and leaves two sisters in Goshen and New Peris. Newman also owned a livery business in South Bend.
