A massive storm in New Albany leaves 31 dead and over 100 injured, with state troops guarding the wrecked district. About 800 residences and plants destroyed or damaged, property loss estimated at 1 million dollars, worse than the Newcastle tornado on March 11.
Decatur March 24 Adams county was struck by a cyclone wrecking many houses and barns. Much stock was killed and two people were slightly injured in the night. Reported as a special dispatch from the area.
Cripe and Seaman highway contractors have delivered Veedersburg brick block for the River avenue Elk hart river road improvement. The firm also handles the New Paris brick road and the Middlebury brick road. All improvements will be rushed with plans to complete by August 1st or September 1st.
Barry Smith, badly hurt at Lake Wawasee by David Trubey who carried an axe, has returned to Michigan, his former home. Smith was cared for at the expense of Turkey Creek township, Kosciusko County.
The body of Mrs Lucy K Stewart who died in South Bend was buried in Syracuse. She was 55, had been ill only two days, and spent most of her life residing at Wawasee.
Joseph Bare, after wandering from Wolf Lake through Ligonier Cromwell and the Crow's Nest to Lake Wawasee, has been placed in the Noble county infirmary as relatives refuse to provide aid. He is listed as missing or in need of care by local authorities.
Mrs. Wm. Ferris wife of ex Governor Ferris of Michigan died Thursday evening at Big Rapids following the amputation of a limb.
Lawrance Ballou of Chicago and Lake Wawasee married Mrs Charlotte James in Chicago yesterday.

Hattie Warner of Churubusco Indiana is named beneficiary under the will of her aunt Regina Winkler of Buffalo New York. Warner will receive the income on two thousand five hundred dollars until marriage when she will inherit the principal from an estate valued at about fifty thousand dollars.
Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Moyer were held at her son's home near Goshen at 10 o clock and at Yellow Creek church at 11. Burial followed in Yellow Creek cemetery.

Benjamin Cutler, 66, an inmate of the Kosciusko county infirmary, died by self inflicted gunshot to the head. Before admission last month, Cutler worked as a laborer at Syracuse.

V Keipp a Goshen resident for over 50 years now residing with his daughter Mrs. Charles Bloom in South Bend celebrated his sixty ninth birthday anniversary born in Germany March 24 1833. He came to Goshen in the early fifties and is said to be the oldest barber in northern Indiana. A year ago he took a trip to California.
Peter F. Beehler of Garrett formerly of this city runs a theatre here now showing only moving pictures instead of tabloids. Raymond Beehler, his son, serves as manager of the playhouse.
Charles W. Kreiger of Lagrange county is jailed again after a recent release on $500 bond. His son accuses him of assault and battery. Mrs. Kreiger warns the husband is dangerous and seeks his confinement.
Harry R. Black of the Black Ointment Co sold the remedy formula to the Bonnel Co of Detroit Michigan for $200. The deal transfers trade secrets and product rights to the Bonnel Company as a cash transaction completed this week.
