Leonard Smith and his son Bert L Smith will build three modern eight room houses on the Goshen House site formerly known as the Messick property. The Messick house, now occupied by the Smiths, will be torn down to make way for the new construction. Work is set to begin around May 1.

The 20 year old act Superba played at the Jefferson in Goshen last night after touring since the early nineties. The Hanlon Bros. brought the two entertainments from England in 1867 and 1867, once paired with Fantasma. Now the act is dated and mildly interesting as a relic of past showmanship.
Mrs. J. A. Simon and Mrs. George Swank hosted 380 neighbors and friends for a surprise and miscellaneous shower for Miss Ida Shaffer, who will marry Mr. Ira Smith of Topeka. Refreshments were served and guests enjoyed the evening.

A girl named Mabel Smith waited in an Elk hart department store for Charles Pearson who had promised to find her a farm place. Pearson did not appear. The girl said she had lived with the Charles Miller family near Goshen. No police report was filed in Elk hart.
The body of A C Heath who died in Chicago Tuesday arrived in Goshen this afternoon on the 1:42 Lake Shore train and was taken directly to Oak Ridge for burial. Services were conducted by the Masonic order.
