A dated advertisement touts Pelorsadi's Ointment and Peterson's Ointment as cures for skin diseases and blemishes. It claims thirty cent boxes remove facial blemishes, blackheads, and other conditions, promising rapid, noticeable improvements and a money back guarantee.
Goshen Democrat notes a public sale on Monday March 25 at 1 p m near Basher farm east of Ulery school and west of Bag Factory. Items include a bay mare a Jersey Moistein cow three years old unbred vehicles farm tools harness two sets single harness household goods and many uncatalogued articles. Auctioneers D S Moyer.

The board of commissioners of Elkhart Indiana will receive bids at the auditor's office in Elkhart County on Tuesday April 2 115 for Bridge No 214 in Clinton township spanning a ditch between sections. Bids are opened at the auditor's office as published.

Notice signed by the Treasurer of Elkhart County Indiana for the sale of improvement bonds totaling 6400 dollars to fund highway construction. Bonds issued in forty series of one hundred six dollars each, dated March 15 1918, bearing 4 percent interest payable semi annually May 15 and November 15, 1919 and each year thereafter for twenty years. Bids requested by the Board of County Commissioners, Concord Township, Elkhrt County.

Amsterdam reports the Reichstag debated a war credit of 15,000,000 marks about 3.75 billion dollars. Count von Rueddren cited Germany’s monthly war costs rising from 2 billion to 3.75 billion marks in five months, with total war cost at 550 billion marks and Entente expenditure at 370 billion.
Washington March 22 the senate approved a raise in the government guaranteed price of wheat from 82 to 250 a bushel by 49 to 18. An amendment to the agricultural appropriation bill by Senator Gore of Oklahoma providing for the tighter guarantee was adopted.
Washington March 22. Increased steel prices were submitted to the president for approval following a two days conference between the metals industries representatives and the wage committee of the steel manufacturers. The price adjustment is effective April 1.
In Elkhart Circuit Court March 1918 term notice is given that Jesse W Mishler as administrator presents final settlement with vouchers for Daniel J. Pippenger deceased. Court will examine April 1 to approve or reject the account. Heirs creditors or legatees must appear and show cause if any why approval should not be granted.
