Settlement Talks Continue in Sam Lewis Stock Case
Assets are about ten thousand dollars with no settlement yet. Assignee Goldberg and Apprakem Shoup, Goldstein, and Oppenheim finished their invoice this morning for the Sam Lewis stock, working until two. The stock is valued around eight thousand five hundred dollars plus book accounts. several creditor claims have been received from N Niederlander Co Chicago 1844 39 Florsheim Co Chicago 700 Keith Bros Co Chicago 862 65 and a Toledo claim over 1000. If no agreement is reached the creditors will place the stock in bankruptcy and refer to the South Bend referee. Negotiations for settlement are in progress.
