Tragic Buck Run drowning ends in Claypool burial
The remains of Floyd Garman, four, drowned at Buck Run Saturday evening, were sent to Claypool for burial at 9 13 in the morning. Emory and Mrs Garman, with Cooper escort, faced the tragedy after Miles Overton found the body downstream near the cemetery. Doctor Statler fought two hours to revive him. Traffic along the interurban rail line was heavy Sunday with extra cars and busy ticket clerks Bartlemay and Foster aiding passengers.

Fowler Baby Dies In North Fifth Street Home
The six weeks old son of Mr and Mrs Chas Fowler of North Fifth street died Saturday evening. Interment will be in Oswego. Also the death of Dr J J Smith in LaCrosse Wisconsin was announced by telegram. He died suddenly of heart disease at about 65, formerly from Middlebury. He leaves a wife and four children Bert Smith Goshen Edward Smith Jackson Minn Mamie Smith LaCrosse and a married daughter in Minneapolis. Remains to be interred in LaCrosse. Also John Jackson, once sent to the Indians reformatory from Elhart for larceny, was released on parole after one year, but Saturday night was arrested for parole violation. Authorities have been wired to come after him. Representative Mummert received a book of cartoons and stories about state legislators from the Indianapolis Press. Cartoons of Mummert and VanFiset are featured.

Despondent laborer ends life in Warsaw barn
Gideon Hoover a 45 year old Warsaw resident and laborer, recently injured and impoverished, hanged himself in a barn hay mow. Found by a stable boy after about seven hours, he left behind four children cared for by Warsaw residents. He had slept in barns and lacked funds for medical care amid years of hardship.

A threatening note was received by John Snobarger, a Pat Crowe victim, demanding 38 cents at the second telephone pole west of Cosmo works or an associate would be kidnapped. Baul Mansfield’s Lake Shore firm just closed a contract with Manager R. M. Palmer to haul the Richard Mansfield company when it appears in Fort Wayne South Bend and Grand Rapids early in May. It requires a special 10 car train to transport the Mans field production of King Henry V and 400 persons to offer the show. Leake Shore officials did not bid and will earn more than they did for Cyrano de Bergerac in 1899.
