H D Rough aged about 55 and formerly of Goshen died at his Buchanan Michigan home after a yearlong illness with complications. Funeral services are planned in Buchanan Monday at 2 pm Rev HE A Vannuys of the First Presbyterian church was advised of the death. He was a traveling salesman for Superior Ladder Co of Goshen and held stock in the firm. The family moved from Goshen to Buchanan several months ago. Surviving are his wife and one son.
Edward H. Rupe left his North Liberty home to water horses. Fifteen minutes later his wife heard a shout and found him unconscious with a broken neck near the barn. He died en route to the house. Authorities believe a horse kick caused the fatal injury.

Etta M. Haines sues Jesse M. Haines alleging non support and seeks divorce, child custody, and 4 dollars weekly child support. They married November 11 1907 and lived together until November 1916. Defendant was in Cleveland when last heard from.
George Bellas was arrested at Milford Junction and is now on trial at Auburn for attempting to kill two Greek men. He allegedly cut their throats from ear to ear with a razor but says the act was in self defense.

John H. Doerings purchased 40 acres known as the Leatherman farm at Wa karusa for 9000 dollars and plans a modern residence. Leatherman has bought a home in this city near Goshen college.
