Brinley pleads guilty in Goshen court for wire theft
Edward Brinley former Goshen barber arrested in Danville Illinois where he resided was brought back and arraigned in circuit court. He pled guilty to stealing wire from Central Union Telephone Co south of Goshen and received 1 to 14 year sentence in Jeffersonville reformatory a 75 dollar fine and two year disfranchisement. The stolen wire valued about 50 dollars cost company 30 cents per pound and Brinley sold it for 17 cents receiving 26.25 from Tobias Zemans. His brother-in-law Frank Holem linked to the theft but not pursued. The company notes his brother works as a lineman in good standing.
