Former Goshen Resident Escapes Newcastle Tornado
Former Goshen resident Mrs T S Ballenger of Newcastle Indiana daughter of A H McCullough of the North Side Goshen and who formerly resided here escaped injury in the Newcastle tornado last Sunday morning which killed 19 persons and caused immense property damage. At the time of the storm Mrs Ballenger was in her home one half block outside the path of the tornado. Mr McCullough telegraphed his daughter several times before receiving assurance of her safety. She wrote him giving a description of the terrible storm.
