Stonex Rooms Leased for City Council Use
The common council voted unanimously to lease Stonex block rooms as a council chamber and offices for the clerk civil engineer and city judge at 275 dollars per year for one year with heating included and electricity supplied by the city. The Odd Fellows chamber will be vacated immediately with sessions moved next Monday. Furniture including a large safe is being moved and new chairs installed. the steam heat will reduce stove use and improve desk space.
