Dorothy lives in Kansas with Aunt Em and Uncle Henry when a cyclone lifts their home. She lands in Oz where she meets Munchkins and learns the wicked witch is dead. Dorothy takes the witch's shoes and travels toward the Emerald City to seek the Wizard. She frees a scarecrow who joins her quest for brains.
Dorothy and the Scarecrow rescue a rusted Tin Woodman trapped by a chopped tree. After oiling his joints and freeing him, he joins their journey to the Emerald City to seek help from Oz for a heart. The trio travels toward the road of yellow brick.
Dorothy and her two companions travel through a forest lane and discuss what makes a heart or brains. The Tin Woodman recounts how a wicked Witch deconstructed him into tin, granting limbs but no heart, while the Scarecrow seeks brains. Dorothy worries about food as bread runs low.
Dorothy and Toto walk with the Tin Woodman and Scarecrow as a forest roar signals danger. A lion charges, sending the Scarecrow rolling and the Tin Woodman blocked by his tin form. The journey toward Oz continues with peril and resolve.
Clark Griffith leads the Red Sox?
