The sixty ninth General Assembly is nearing adjournment at midnight with administration programs largely completed. Lawmakers concluded sessions on key bills, budgeting, and oversight before the final votes.
Indiana lawmakers near midnight adjournment after sixty one quiet days. About eleven hundred measures were introduced in the two houses, only seventy five gaining executive approval. Governor Ralston has sent a special message while suffrage efforts persist through representatives of the Woman’s Legislative Council and supporters seek a constitutional amendment for equal suffrage.
In Indianapolis the legislature expected to adjourn late afternoon while the senate had not yet concurred in the conference report on the appropriation bill. The house blocked a revival of the women workers hours plan by not suspending rules on the Feick bill. Speaker Bedwell reported about $18,000 saved from last session's expenses and $12,000 saved on printing.

One son John Mitchell of South Bend survives, and she was an aunt of Mrs. C. Carmien of Goshen.

They argue the fair prioritizes racing, cheap shows, gambling and amusements and urge pupils and parents not to support the exhibit while it remains. Mary J. Brown died March 5 at her home and her 1899 will was filed for probate. It leaves all real and personal property to Henrietta Starr or her heirs, with G Plattenburg Starr and Sam P. Starr as remainders if Starr dies. Life interest in no 113 8S Sixth street passes to four Brown sons, three in Chicago and one in California.
Edith Randall sues Ray A. Randall for divorce in a Michigan court. The couple lived in Union City where Mr. Randall runs a milling business. He formerly taught at Goshen High and later led Plymouth schools as superintendent.

Vincenzo Parillo, 32, died at the county infirmary after a period of lung trouble worsened by domestic unhappiness. He had been there three months, previously living on Harrison Street in Elkhart. A shoemaker, he worked for A. Dente for ten years before his health declined. He had lived in America 12 years, returning to Italy seven years ago.
Rev W W Foust recently returned from Southern Ohio where he spoke on Manliness for two weeks under the Lee Lyceum bureau. A meeting will be held tomorrow night to arrange details for the forthcoming church banquet.
The Indiana State Laundry Owners association with 175 members opens its annual convention in South Bend today and runs through tomorrow. Goshen delegates BH. L. Harper and W. E. Fryberg attend.
