Farmer Injured By Cow Near Middlebury
Eli Reafsnyder, a farmer near Middlebury, was badly hurt Friday when a cow struck him with its head. One horn hit his eye and he fell on a rock. He was found unconscious and remained so until yesterday. His condition is improved today.

Chautauqua Secretary Secures Ellen Stone for Benton Harbor
Dr Sol C Dickey of Indianapolis the Na tional Chautauqua alliance announced Ellen Stone has been secured by cablegram for a five weeks service across the alliance. Stone will appear on the Benton Harbor summer program with Hobson heading the season. A second company presented Uncle Tom’s Cabin at the Irwin to a large crowd but offered an inferior show marred by inebriation among principals. The management warned of arrest for unbecoming conduct on stage and promised no more such performances in two years.
