Brother of Wabash wreck victim treks to Lima for care
M. E. Flynn, brother of T. A. Flynn who was born in the Wabash wreck last week, started for his home in Lima, Ohio, but was recalled due to the patient’s serious state. He went to Lima yesterday and will return Tuesday. The brother says the patient has hemorrhages and doctors see little hope. Flynn plans to move on to Bradford, Pa., to arrange for the care of the two children. A suit against the Big Four is filed in the Wabash circuit court seeking $20,000 for injuries to Mahlon H Rhodes on July 24, 1895, a claim now likely outlawed by the statute of limitations.

Sopranarollis March 4 Special: The house approved Fort Wayne charter bills awaiting the governor. the senate passed a game bill and two Evansville charter bills heading to the governor. Wind Storm Damages West Side Areas and Buildings
A cyclone like wind storm hit the city about six last evening lasting an hour, injuring few but blowing away small buildings and chimneys on the West Side near Cosmo Soap Works. Signs, bicycle racks, and other items were tossed about in the business district while snow fell and sidewalks turned to slush. Water backed at the Ninth street crossing as sewers overflowed, the Elkhart river and Rock Run creek rose, and city filth awaits removal after thaw.
