Fire destroys Leyton summer resort hotel near St Joseph
The Leyton summer resort hotel five miles up the St Joe river from St Joseph Mich burned completely. The origin was a fire in a kitchen flue. Occupants Bennis Minney and family escaped. Mrs Minney and friends were ill with measles and were carried to a nearby cottage. The hotel, built about ten years ago by Clarence T Warner cost 7500 dollars. The engine room stables and about 15 cottages were saved.
