Jacob Brown aged one year died at his Nappanee home after a months long paralysis illness. Born in Canada he moved to Elkhart County as a youth and farmed there. Surviving are his wife two sons John V W Brown of Nappanee and Frank Brown and three daughters Mrs Charles Arnold Mrs Jacob Kirkdorfer and Mrs Joseph Stump. Funeral services will be held at the home tomorrow morning.
Malinda E. Hostetler aged 24 died at Goshen hospital from complications last night around seven. She lived at North Liberty and was brought to Goshen five days ago for treatment. The body was sent back to North Liberty this morning for burial. She is survived by her husband and three children.
The traffic extension bureau of the South Bend Chamber of Commerce announced an Interstate Commerce Commission hearing on freight rate changes will be held in South Bend on April 6.
To Michigan. North Manchester parties who for a few months occupied the Kolb building at 126 North Main Street with automatic baseball equipment have vacated. The equipment will be shipped to a Michigan town.

Miss Florence Hamilton daughter of Mr and Mrs Orlando Hamilton of 212 West Pike Goshen and Mr Ed Haunsman of Goshen were married in Woledo Ohio. They plan to return tomorrow. Haunsman, formerly Warsaw resident, moved to Goshen 18 months ago as manager for Chen F Gilbert grocery.
A gray horse owned by George H Evans fell on Pike Street this forenoon and fractured a leg. The animal was killed after the back attached to the horse was being driven to the city from Oak Ridge cemetery following the funeral of Mrs. Helen Colling. A street car passed as the horse slipped and fell.
Repairs on the condenser at the municipal water and light plant led to reduced street lighting last night with few ornamental lamps in use. Supt Harding said normal service would be restored this evening.
E. FE of Mt. Clemens Michigan fell from a Grand Trunk Western freight train near Stillwell. He lay beside the track for hours with frozen hands and feet. A freight crew found him and he was taken to Epworth hospital in South Bend.
A Se Bend building boom is evident as 61 building permits were issued in February with a total value of 129 350 dollars, reflecting strong growth in construction activity.
