Bricklayer Injured On New Jefferson Theatre Platform
Samuel J. Minnis, a bricklayer on the Jefferson building, was badly hurt yesterday afternoon when a platform gave way. Four six foot trestles supported heavy 22 foot planks. an 800 pound iron truss struck him on the head, crushing him to the floor. His fellow worker escaped harm. A physician treated him and he was taken home at 517 North Main Street. Minnis is resting with back pains but improving.
