Washington June 22 Special. A general tariff revision could keep Congress in session until snow flies after significant developments in the United States Senate yesterday.
Court records show Warren James and Goldie James finalized a divorce. The district lists marriage license applicants: Stephen D. Carpenter, 52, of Goshen, to Rose Mack, 42, of Goshen. Calvin Strucker, 25, of New Paris, to Sophia Kurtz, 25, of Nappanee.
The State Board of Tax Commissioners received appeal notices from five Indiana corporations challenging the valuation fixed by the board. A hearing date of July 6 was set for the appeals, including the Home Telephone Co. of Hikhart.

Daniel Carpenter an 84 year old resident of Kosciusko county sustained serious injuries after he fell through a hole in the chaymow of his barn. He was found and injured while working on the property and transported for treatment.

Officers Knapp and Elliott raided a bawdy house at 208 Wilson Avenue last night, detaining five occupants a man nearing old age a younger man a boy a girl and a woman. The proprietress was freed with charges pending reform, while a divorce action is noted and neighbors seek closure on the establishment. Proprieties face supervision as authorities aim to shut the venue.
Ed Sanders known as Snowball a colored laborer employed at Hotel Hascall Goshen for about a year caused a scene this morning. Marshal Self and Officer Knapp arrested him after he talked excessively in the hotel office and refused to stop.
The Eel River Conference of the Christian Church closed a three day session at the Six Mile church southeast of Bluffton. Goshen was chosen as the next meeting site and the conference will convene early in the summer of 1912 with date to be announced later.
Mortuary record states infant son of Mr and Mrs Almon Leer of Harrison township died last night and was buried this afternoon in Stutsman cemetery.

Mr and Mrs Harry Ritter of Chicago will travel to Germany soon. The husband will receive medical treatment there. Ritter studied law at Baker Mitchell about 30 years ago and is now part of the law firm Defrees Brace Ritter, a familiar name among Goshen residents.

Mrs Arturo Bandini daughter of Mrs Helen Elliott and niece of Mrs Chauncey Hascall died at her Pasadena home. She was well known in literary circles as her parents founded a colony in Pasadena. Mrs Elliott once lived in Goshen and now resides in Pasadena. The Los Angeles Express contains extended accounts of her death and burial.

The Tuesday evening silver medal contest at the Church of the Brethren featured a strong showing by young ladies.
