At Interlaken gymnasium Laporte Indiana Democratic Editorial Association members heard Gov Marshall address the editors on a proposed new constitution Rep H A Barnhart gave the principal toast Royal BE Purcell of Vincennes affirmed the next president remark to applause J B Stoll of the South Bend Times supported the new constitution The group endorsed Marshall for the presidency and Canadian reciprocity.
The McMann dredge on Rock Run is within about one mile of the Silver Street terminus, with six weeks to finish four and a quarter miles of digging. The larger unit is moving through Go shen toward the Fifth Street bridge, while both engines together will dredge roughly eight and a half miles. Costs include about six and a half cents per dip for the contractor and ten cents per dump, plus substantial nearing expenses for overhauls and bridge changes.

Perry Gandy son of Oscar Gandy and George Durbin escaped when the Gandy auto left a high embankment near Churubusco. The incident involved a local banker family and a narrow escape with no injuries reported.
Mrs. Mary Willis Longacre aged 87 died at her Benton home. She lived in Elkhart county all her life and leaves her husband Irson Longacre and five children: Mrs. Vernon, Mrs. Butler, Mrs. Prickett, Irson, and Allen with nine grandchildren. Funeral Monday at 2 PM at Benton Methodist Church, Rev. Buckner officiating. Interment in Jackson Cemetery.
Trustee Bemenderfer arranged improvements to the approaches of the concrete arch over Rock Run creek on Silver Street. Concrete retaining walls were placed to protect the bridge during Rock Run dredging at a county cost of 1500 dollars.
Al Ringling, circus magnate, travels with friends by auto from Pittsburgh toward Chicago. They pause in Mishawaka to visit Gollmar Bros. show. The Gollmar family are cousins of the Ringlings.
Tomorrow marks the fiftieth anniversary of the hail storm of June 4 1861 that caused heavy damage across the region.

A 16 foot 8 inch python named Pet escaped from Gollmar Bros circus in Vicksburg Michigan and remains at large. Locals fear the creature as the circus offers a 200 dollar reward for its capture or recovery.

Paul Theil who stole wine and a rub ber coat from a Big Four car in Elkhart was brought here today and jailed in default of bail.
Thieves entered the Memorial Op ere House box office at Valpa Talso but failed to find any spoil and left in disgust.
Mayor Spohn introduced Brooklyn speaker Frank H. Leonard of the First Church of Christ Scientist board of lectureship. Leonard argued four core teachings, explained sin and unrealities in Christian Science, and stressed sin’s accountability and the need to glorify God.

W H Brown a hotel baggage thief was captured in Elkhart and brought here by Sheriff Leader with bail set at 500 dollars. A diamond brooch pawned in Cincinnati for 200 dollars was found on him. Deputy Sheriff Thomas traced Brown’s operations to Loganport Peru and relevant local hotels. a Bearss hotel key was discarded in Goshen. J L Martin recovered his bag from the Hascall hotel.
Vern and George Medlam appeared in Kendallville after Mayor Field suspended their sentence for public intoxication and cruelty to their horse and dog. Marshal Boggs detained Vern. George escaped but was later captured at Avilla. Vern to serve 35 days in county jail. George 35 days for public intoxication and cruelty to animals.
