Colt on a Sport Collides With Lacy Rig on Fifth Street
A spirited colt belonging to Frank G. Hubbell spurred from the Hubbell home on Fifth street around 7 pm. The horse trotted into Lincoln avenue and struck a Lacy livery rig carrying Miss Georgiana Lacy, wrecking the rear wheel but causing no injuries. The colt was afterward caught near Washington and Fifth streets.

Boy Killed by Lightning in Harrison Township Cottage
Roscoe Weaver, nine, son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Weaver, was instantly killed by a lightning bolt while sheltering with his family in a one story cottage in Harrison township near Goshen. Each house sustained about 12 dollars in damage, Pratt’s loss already adjusted, and a nearby willow tree was splintered.
