Earl Gardner sues in Elkhart County seeking return of his wife and child detained at the home of his mother in Osdo township. Dr W B Kaler of Benton notes an old rifle pulled from the Elkhart river by William Binkly. The find ties to Gen Wayne's army detachment under Col John Jackson crossing the river on Sept 12. The will of a deceased Kosciusko county farmer outlines provisions for his widow Ida Myers and three children Harvey, Amusa, and Mandilla. Four year old Anna Palos of South Bend was fatally injured last night when struck by a gate driven by George Chartie a chauffeur for Mrs. James Ray of South Bend.
