Fire at Shipshewana destroys several buildings
Incendiary origin sparked a blaze last night in Shipshewana destroying Truesdell Bros general store and about a dozen business houses. Losses exceed 50 000 with insurance not more than 5 000 to 8 000. Firefighters had little protection as a rocket brigade fought the blaze and residents awoke to explosions from fireworks in the window display.
