W C K Harrison of the Times will depart Wednesday for the East to serve as deputy insurance commissioner of North Dakota visiting Washington New York Philadelphia Boston and other points. He is deputized by his brother Geo W Harrison the North Dakota insurance commissioner who cannot make the trip. Bottom land crops ruined by prolonged wet weather
Widespread moisture has ruined growing corn and potatoes on bottom land. Prolonged standing water causes vines and stalks to rot from the inside and break off at ground level. Early potatoes may rot in the ground if the wet spell lasts longer.
